JENNIFER WELCH

Jennifer Welch has been a theater artist since the age of twelve. During that time, she has acted, directed, lighted and costumed close to a hundred plays. Trained at the University of Kansas, the American Conservatory Theater (ACT) and the Jean Shelton Actors Lab, Jennifer has taken a direct torch passed from Stella Adler down to Jean Shelton, to the latest generation of method acting devotees. Using and continually refining Adler's techniques of substitution, emotional memory, and preparation, Welch has begun teaching her own classes at the Actors Theatre of San Francisco, where she has been a company member for nine years.
